Quilted curling rock coasters make a cute quick holiday gift

by Sarah Vanderburgh

The holidays are quickly approaching and you may already be done wrapping up your gifts. In yesterday’s post, PFAFF passport 3.0 is the perfect sewing machine for holiday projects, I finished some holiday gifts. Now I’m ready to make something else! I designed these quick curling rock coasters for an extra hostess gift or last-minute gift-giving. Maybe you can add someone to your list who would like to receive some!

Last year I created a curling rock runner – these coasters would make a great addition to any curling fan’s decor.

I’m using the PFAFF passport 3.0 to piece and quilt these coasters. Today’s post gives the fabric requirements and cutting instructions so we can start piecing in the next post.

Fabric Requirements

I looked through my stash and found enough material to make my coasters. I used leftover 2½” strips and cutoffs from fat eighths. Read the requirements below and see if you have enough too.

Love the curling coasters!! My husband, son and grandson love to curl – so I am thinking this would be a neat idea to make. Will you be giving instructions on how to sew these together?
