Yesterday, we completed the embroidery on the Christmas boot ornaments using the wonderful PFAFF creative icon 2 Sewing and Embroidery Machine, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The shimmering gold threads on the deep burgundy felt create such a festive and elegant look. Today, we’re taking the next exciting step of programming the ornament shape and stitching it right in the hoop. Felt Christmas ornaments with the PFAFF creative icon 2 sewing machine. We’ll start where I left off yesterday. Click the “Edit Design” icon on the Embroidery screen, then select the “Mirror Side to Side” icon to flip the embroidery design. Next, it’s time to shape the ornament. Click on the “Applique Creator” icon, then touch “Load a Shape.” I chose the built-in Boot shape from the “Dingbats” category for the ornament. Resize the boot, adjusting it to align the embroidery perfectly within the outline. Once done, click “OK.” Then, open the “Layers” icon editor window, select the embroidery layer, and click the “Bin” icon to remove it. The process of resizing the boot shape. Working with layers in Embroidery Edit mode. Attach the creative 120 Square Hoop (120 x 120 mm) with the prepared quilt sandwich. For a final check, click the Projector icon, set the background color to red, and adjust the LED Work Light level by moving the indicator. Check to see if the boot projection aligns with the embroidery. If needed, move the boot shape on the screen. The projection on the felt will follow your finger’s every move! We’ll use the Ghost Mode to guide the stitching, leaving an opening for stuffing. For this boot size, set the start stitch point to 17 using the “Go to Stitch” option. This feature makes creating a perfectly stitched shape easy while keeping the opening exactly where we need it! Watch the festive magic come to life as the stitches create a beautifully crafted ornament. Once the stitching is complete, carefully unhoop the finished masterpiece.
