I really enjoyed the post about using tulle on the applique pieces...I used that suggestion on the center of my feathered star I have had hanging on my work board for over 3 years....I could not figure out what I wanted to quilt or how I wanted this star to be quilted...Now it shines as a wall hanging in my living room with now it just stands out so wonderfully.....

I love old quilt patterns. The women who made them up were quite creative in all aspects of their lives. They still were able to get new patterns and designs. Still love the idea of quilting with friends each week.
