Sewing more holiday cozies with the PFAFF creative expression 750 by Margaret Sweete November 5, 2025 written by Margaret Sweete November 5, 2025 21 This week I’m using two machines for quick holiday gift ideas, the PFAFF creative expression 750 Sewing and Embroidery machine and the SINGER MOMENTO 24” Digital Craft Cutting Machine. Thank God, I had them! Keeping the holiday sewing momentum going PFAFF creative expression 750 Sewing and Embroidery Machine Yesterday, I went through the basic steps to put together an 8½” x 8½” casserole cozy, from the cut stage to the finish, including topstitching. Repetitive Precision with the SINGER MOMENTO 24” The repetitive, accurate cutting I was able to do with the SINGER MOMMENTO 24” Digital Craft Cutting Machine was a lifesaver! And the extra needle piercing power of the PFAFF creative expression 750 really helped when sewing the corners of the cozies, where the topstitching went through 4 layers of batting and 4 layers of fabric! SINGER MOMENTO 24” Craft Cutting Machine Today I’ll show you another variety of cozies. An 8½” x 8½” casserole cozy made with pumpkin fabric for Thanksgiving; these are perfect for gifting. After cutting the 8½” x 8½” casserole cozies, I cut and finished a 9” x 13” casserole cozy and then created kits for several more. A 9” x 13” casserole cozy, made with holiday fabric, is perfect for gifting to the hostess. Bowl Cozies for Everyday Use I actually made a couple of traditional bowl cozies, but the materials and techniques are the same. My new favorite is the 10” plate (white plate shown below) that also holds a soup and spaghetti bowls! So I cut some more kits just for me, as these are the dishes I use the most, and I’m into Sunday cooking for the week! A selection of bowls and a plate in different-sized bowl cozies Now, for my last cozy, this is a fun one. The pattern I used for an ice cream cozy holds a pint of specialty ice cream, so your hands don’t freeze when having those midnight ice cream binges! Not only that, but it’s also a novel idea for a hostess gift. Since it doesn’t go in the microwave, regular cotton batting is fine, and finding some fun summer ice cream prints adds a touch of flair! Repeatable, accurate cuts on the SINGER MOMENTO 24” Digital Craft Cutting Machine make this so easy! An ice cream cozy with a pint of ice cream! In addition to two other kits, ready to sew. This week so far has been productive, between cutting out my holiday gifts on the SINGER MOMENTO 24” DIGITAL Cutting Machine and sewing the cozies on the PFAFF creative expression 750 Sewing and Embroidery Machine. Join me tomorrow, I’m switching gears and using the embroidery part of the PFAFF creative expression 750 Sewing and Embroidery Machine, to make a holiday runner and charger placemats.
