Yesterday, I gave you the instructions for QAL Blocks 7, 10, 1 and 4. This is the final post for the cutting instructions to make your Spectrum QAL blocks in a 6″ finished size. I’ve enjoyed making these blocks with fabrics from The Little Girl in the Blue Armchair collection. Now you should try at least one – you’ll see how much fun they are to make! They’re tiny, but not difficult. And don’t hesitate to use a little starch on your fabrics; I love using Mary Ellen’s Best Press, especially when working with such small pieces. I sprayed the product in every step when making my blocks. Best Press contains a special stain shield which protects the fabrics, so when the blocks were finished, I also sprayed the right side of each one and pressed with a hot iron to make the block nice and flat.
Here’s the finished cushion we’re aiming for in this week’s posts which matches beautifully with the Spectrum QAL quilted bed runner.

I picked my favorite seven blocks from the Spectrum QAL bed runner to make a matching decorative cushion.
